I've always believed that a healthy, beautiful smile begins with a strong foundation. Healthy gums, strong supporting bone, and long-term stability are essential to lasting oral health. That's what initially drew me to periodontics and implant dentistry. I was fascinated by the precision and complexity of the specialty, but what truly inspired me was the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. Being able to restore someone's comfort, function, and confidence is what makes this work so rewarding to me.
I earned my dental degree from New York University College of Dentistry and went on to complete a General Practice Residency in New Jersey. After several years of practicing general dentistry, I found myself increasingly drawn to the surgical side of the profession. I wanted to develop a deeper understanding of the tissues and structures that support our teeth and gain the expertise needed to manage more complex cases.
That passion led me to pursue advanced specialty training in Periodontics and Dental Implants at the Manhattan Veterans Affairs Medical Center. There, I received extensive training in implant surgery, complex reconstruction, periodontal surgery, bone regeneration, and minimally invasive surgical techniques. It was an experience that shaped the way I practice dentistry today.
What I enjoy most about periodontics is the level of precision it demands. Even the smallest details can make a significant difference in the outcome of a procedure. I approach every case with careful planning and a clear understanding of both the biological and aesthetic considerations involved. My goal is always to achieve results that are healthy, natural-looking, functional, and designed for long-term stability.
Throughout my career, I've also had the opportunity to share my knowledge with other dental professionals. I've lectured at national conferences, dental schools, and continuing education programs across the country, including the annual Tarnow Alumni Meeting in New York City. I also serve as a Key Opinion Leader for a leading dental implant manufacturer, where I contribute to clinical education and discussions surrounding advancements in implant dentistry.
While I'm proud of these professional accomplishments, the most rewarding part of my career is still the relationships I build with my patients.
I understand that the thought of periodontal surgery or dental implants can feel intimidating. Many patients come to me with concerns about discomfort, recovery, or the uncertainty of treatment. I believe it's my responsibility to take the time to explain every option, answer your questions, and make sure you feel comfortable and confident before we begin. No patient should ever feel rushed into making a decision about their health.
Continuing education and clinical advancement remain a major part of my professional life. I'm constantly refining my surgical techniques and studying new developments in periodontal and implant therapy. My focus is on making treatment more precise, less invasive whenever possible, and more predictable for the people who place their trust in me.
For me, this profession has always been about more than treating gum disease or replacing missing teeth. It's about helping people regain the ability to eat comfortably, smile confidently, and enjoy the everyday things they may have been missing.
I take that responsibility seriously, and I consider it a privile
