Orthodontics, to me, has never been just about straightening teeth. It is about helping people feel more confident in who they are and creating smiles that feel natural, balanced, and lasting.
My journey began at the Honors College at West Chester University, where I studied Cell and Molecular Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I then continued my education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where I graduated with Honors in both Radiology and Research while also earning a Master’s degree in Bioethics from the Perelman School of Medicine. My time at Penn taught me something that continues to guide my philosophy today that great dentistry is not only about technical excellence, but also about integrity, empathy, and thoughtful decision making.
After dental school, I completed my specialty training in Orthodontics at Columbia University, earning my Master of Science degree while training in advanced orthodontic care and treatment planning. Today, I also serve as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Columbia University, where I teach residents the latest advancements in orthodontic technology and evidence based treatment. Being involved in education allows me to stay at the forefront of the field and bring the highest level of care to my patients.
What I love most about orthodontics is that every patient’s journey is unique. No two smiles are the same, and no treatment should ever feel generic. I take pride in creating treatment plans that are carefully tailored to each individual, balancing aesthetics, function, and long term health. My goal is always to create results that feel natural, healthy, and lasting.
I also understand that orthodontic treatment is about much more than teeth. For many people, it is tied to confidence, self esteem, and how they see themselves. I never take that responsibility lightly. I believe patients deserve to feel informed, comfortable, and genuinely cared for throughout the entire process.
Whether I am treating a child, teenager, or adult, I approach every case with patience, precision, and attention to detail. I want every patient to feel heard, respected, and excited about their transformation.
It would be a privilege to be part of your journey and help you create a smile you feel proud to share with the world.
Warmly,
Dr. Hassan Khan
