I believe the way we care for ourselves shapes the way we experience life. For me, dental hygiene is an opportunity to bring together science, prevention, and a deeper understanding of overall wellness. My hope is that every patient leaves my chair feeling refreshed, encouraged, and a little more connected to their health.
I've always believed that the best dental care starts with making people feel comfortable, understood, and genuinely cared for. My name is Caitlin, and after 17 years as a dental hygienist, what I still enjoy most about my work is getting to know my patients, earning their trust, and helping them feel more confident about their health.
I graduated from the University of New England and have spent my career focused on preventive care, patient education, and building lasting relationships. Over the years, I've learned that everyone has a different experience with dentistry. Some patients are completely comfortable in the dental chair, while others may feel anxious or have had difficult experiences in the past. I believe it's important to meet people where they are, without judgment, and create an environment where they feel safe asking questions and taking an active role in their care.
One of my greatest interests is the connection between oral health and overall wellness. I've always been fascinated by how closely the health of our mouths is connected to the rest of our bodies. I enjoy helping patients understand that relationship and showing them how small, consistent changes in their daily routines can have a lasting impact on their oral health.
My passion for wellness also extends beyond dentistry. I'm a certified yoga therapist and ergonomics consultant, which has given me a broader understanding of how posture, movement, stress, and physical comfort influence our well-being. These experiences have shaped the way I approach patient care. I pay close attention to how people feel during their appointments and do my best to make every visit as comfortable and relaxing as possible.
Originally from Boston, I've always enjoyed spending time outdoors and staying connected to nature. Yoga and an active lifestyle are important parts of my life, and I find that they bring a sense of balance and perspective to both my personal and professional life.
What makes this profession so rewarding to me is seeing the progress my patients make over time. Whether it's helping someone become more comfortable with dental visits, improving their gum health, or simply giving them the knowledge and confidence to take better care of their smile, those are the moments that remind me why I love what I do.
When you're in my chair, I want you to feel like you're being treated as an individual, not just another appointment on the schedule. I'll always take the time to listen, understand your concerns, and help you make informed decisions about your health.
I look forward to meeting you, getting to know you, and helping you achieve a healthier smile while making your dental visits something you can feel good about.
