Brenda Ledee

I've always believed that a beautiful smile begins with good health, but exceptional care begins with a genuine connection. My name is Brenda Ledee, and as a dental hygienist, I have the privilege of combining my passion for healthcare with something I love just as much: getting to know people. Every patient brings a unique story, and I believe taking the time to listen, understand, and build trust is just as important as the care I provide. My goal is to make every visit feel personal, comfortable, and centered around you.

My name is Brenda Ledee, and my journey into dental hygiene has been shaped by a lifelong passion for healthcare, education, and helping others.

‍

I was born and raised in Guatemala, where I spent my early years and earned a degree in Executive Secretarial Studies from the American Spanish Institute. I began my professional career working in government security, but I always knew I wanted to continue learning and exploring new opportunities.

‍

In 1991, I moved to the United States and began a new chapter of my life. I went on to earn my degree in Applied Science and Dental Hygiene through Essex County College and UMDNJ in New Jersey. During my studies, I conducted research on the psychological and social impact of oral health among Hispanic patients living with AIDS. That experience gave me a much deeper appreciation for how oral health affects not only physical well-being, but also confidence, relationships, and quality of life.

‍

I became a United States citizen in 1993, a milestone that remains one of my proudest accomplishments.

‍

Throughout my career, I've continued to explore different areas of health and wellness. In 2003, I graduated from the Somerset School of Massage Therapy, expanding my knowledge of the human body and the importance of overall well-being. I've also had the opportunity to work as a chef for the American Heart Association, where I combined my love of cooking with my interest in nutrition and healthy living.

‍

These experiences have influenced the way I approach dental hygiene. I believe prevention, education, and consistency are essential to maintaining a healthy smile. I enjoy taking the time to get to know my patients, understand their concerns, and help them develop habits that support their long-term oral health.

‍

Giving back to my community has always been important to me. In 2022, I was honored to receive the Distinguished Woman of Valor Award at the West New York Fashion Awards. It was a special recognition that I will always cherish.

‍

Outside of dentistry, I have a tremendous love for adventure and staying active. I've completed the New York City Marathon three times and the Philadelphia Marathon once. I've also participated in a Tough Mudder event sponsored by the Wounded Warrior Project Foundation. I enjoy bungee jumping, parasailing, fine dining, and spending evenings at Broadway shows. I believe life is meant to be experienced, and I'm always excited to try something new.

‍

Above all, family is the most important part of my life. I'm a proud mother to a wonderful daughter and grandmother to three grandchildren who bring me endless happiness.

‍

What I enjoy most about being a dental hygienist is the opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life. Every patient has a unique story, and I genuinely enjoy hearing those stories while helping them care for their health.

‍

When you visit me, I want you to feel comfortable, respected, and confident that your well-being is my priority. My goal is to make every appointment a positive experience and help you maintain a healthy smile for years to come.

‍

I look forward to meeting you and getting to know you personally.
