My name is Behesta Bassam, and as your dental hygienist, I look forward to getting to know you, helping you achieve a healthy smile, and making every visit a comfortable and positive experience.
For me, dental hygiene has always been about much more than cleaning teeth. It's about helping people understand their oral health, preventing problems before they develop, and building relationships that allow patients to feel comfortable and confident in their care.
I've always believed that a healthy mouth plays an important role in overall health. That's why I place such a strong emphasis on prevention, education, and helping my patients develop habits that will benefit them for years to come. I want every patient to leave their appointment not only feeling better, but also understanding their oral health a little more than when they arrived.
One area I'm particularly passionate about is periodontal health. Gum disease can develop quietly, often without noticeable symptoms until it has progressed. I take the time to carefully evaluate each patient's gum health, explain what I'm seeing, and develop a personalized approach to treatment and prevention. My goal isn't simply to address existing concerns, but to help you maintain healthy, stable gums for the long term.
I also work closely with our doctors to make sure your periodontal care is part of your overall dental treatment plan. Healthy gums provide the foundation for healthy teeth, and I believe that communication and collaboration between providers make a meaningful difference in the quality of care we deliver.
Just as important to me is how you feel during your visit. I know that not everyone looks forward to a dental appointment, and some patients may have had difficult experiences in the past. I never want you to feel rushed, judged, or uncomfortable asking questions. I want to create an environment where you feel heard, respected, and involved in decisions about your health.
What I love most about being a dental hygienist is getting to know my patients over time. Seeing someone improve their oral health, become more confident in their smile, or overcome their anxiety about dental visits is incredibly rewarding.
I genuinely care about the people I treat, and I take pride in making every appointment a positive and meaningful experience.
I look forward to meeting you, earning your trust, and working together to keep your smile healthy for years to come.
Warm regards,
Behesta Bassam, RDH, BS
